LEESBURG, Ga. – The first game in The League For Clubs game for Pensacola FC is in the books and it came in some impressive style.
Pensacola dominated on the offensive end and limited visiting Sowegans to just a few chances in recording a 4-0 shutout of Sowegans in Gulf Coast Conference play.
Brazilian transplant Bruno Marques netted the natural hat trick with the first three goals and added an assist to pace Pensacola FC in a game played at the Lee County Track and Soccer Complex.
Marquez scored in the 15th, 21st and 49th minutes to stake his club to a 3-0 advantage. And for good measure he set up teammate Kenta Yahgi for the fourth tally in the 85th minute to cap the scoring.
TALLAHASSEE SC 6, VALDOSTA FC 2: Tallahassee SC opened up the 2025 the League For Clubs-Gulf Coast Conference season with this decisive win Saturday night over Valdosta FC.
Kasper Wollstein’s goal in the 56th minute proved to be the game-winning goal for Tallahassee SC.
Mirai Sato scored two goals which came in the 64th minute for a 4-1 lead and again scored the sixth goal in the four minutes into stoppage time at the tail end of the second half. Connor Parry (sixth), Diego Sanchez (45th+2) and Julian Marcos (87th) also scored for Tallahassee (1-0-0, 1-0-0)
Jason Daniel (45th) and Andy Siama (72nd) scored for Valdosta FC (0-1-0, 0-1-0).
