WMLIS Unveils Expanded 2026 Season Schedule, New Conference Format

Chicago, Illinois (Dec. 20, 2025) — Women’s Major League Indoor Soccer (WMLIS) announced its 2026 season schedule on Friday, highlighting league expansion, a new two-conference alignment, and an updated postseason format. The league has expanded to eight teams for the 2026 campaign, with each club set to play a 10-game regular season schedule—up from six games during the 2025 season.
WMLIS will operate with two conferences in 2026.The Eastern Conference will feature the Chicago Mustangs, Kalamazoo Zoo City, Fort Wayne Summit City Sentinels, and the New Jersey Angels.The Western Conference will include Phoenix Pulse, Salt Lake City Utah Uprising, Las Vegas Turf Monsters, and Albuquerque New Mexico Lightning.
League officials structured conference scheduling to promote competitive balance while keeping travel costs manageable for teams.
The 2026 schedule also includes designated round-robin league weekends. Las Vegas, Chicago, and Kalamazoo will serve as host cities, allowing teams to compete in multiple league matches at a single location.
At the conclusion of the regular season, the top two teams from each conference will advance to Finals Weekend. The championship event is scheduled for March 28–29 at Orleans Arena in Las Vegas.
