ANN ARBOR, Mich. – AFC Ann Arbor announced Thursday that it has signed defensive midfielder and future University of Minnesota player Emily Filbrun for the 2025 USL W League season, pending league and federation approval.

A current standout with the Michigan Hawks ECNL program and a senior in the Class of 2025 at Saline High School, Filbrun has had an accomplished career on the youth club circuit in recent years. Suiting up for the Michigan Hawks, she has earned a multitude of postseason honors, including 2022 All-ECNL Midwest First Team. Filbrun also competed in the ECNL National Selection Game in 2023.

She previously played for Saline FC at an earlier age through her seventh grade year.

Filbrun is set to graduate from Saline in June but does not play high school soccer for the Hornets. She signed with Minnesota of the Big Ten Conference earlier this school year and will head up to Minneapolis in August after the completion of the USL W League season.
