GROSSE POINTE WOODS, Mich. – Detroit City FC II continued its winning ways with a seventh straight victory Monday.

That sets the table for a potential league championship next week.

Detroit City FC II took care of business at Joseph P. Healy Field in Grose Pointe Woods, tripping up visiting Duka FC 5-1 to improve to 9-1-0 on the season in the UPSL Midwest East Division.

Zain Elder, Sam Speen, Manuel Karjian, Keane McCauley and Gregory Trask scored the goals for DCFCII. Alexander Heitsch notched the shutout.

During the seven-game win streak, Detroit City FC II has outscored the opposition 28-3 with four shutouts. Overall this season through 10 games, DCFCII owns a 40-6 scoring edge with six clean sheets while averaging 4.00 goals-per-game and posting a 0.60 goals-against-average as a team.

Leon Marks scored the lone goal for Duka FC.

Karjian leads DCFCII with nine goals, while Hadji Diop has six goals. McCauley, Ben Rosenblat and Trevor Kacou each have three goals on the season.

Standing atop the table, Detroit City FC will play second place Detroit United on July 7 at the University of Detroit-Mercy for the UPSL Midwest East Division championship and the right to advance to the UPSL national tournament.
