Gulf Coast United FC scored in the 89th on a goal from Ronald Elsma to trim the deficit down to 3-2 but the visitors came up short in a game played at Ashton Brosnahan Soccer Complex.
Lawall staked Pensacola to a 1-0 advantage in the 29th minute while Micah Cooper tallied one minute into stoppage time at the end of the first half for Gulf Coast.
Nolin Godwin broke the stalemate for Pensacola FC Academy for a 2-1 lead which set up a wild finish.
Pensacola FC Academy improved to 2-0-0 and now has a 6-2 scoring edge this season.
Gulf Coast United FC dropped to 0-2-0 on the season.
