UBURN HILLS – The Oakland Christian boys soccer team enters the 2025 season with plenty of motivation and a veteran core ready to make another run in Division 4.
The Lancers finished last fall with a 13-7-2 record, placing fourth in the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference. Their season ended just short of a state berth, falling to Lansing Christian in the regional final.
Head coach Patrick Reyes believes this year’s roster has the maturity and depth to push even further. “We return a strong group of juniors and seniors who know what it takes to win,” Reyes said. “Our goal is to compete for the conference crown, win a district championship, and give ourselves the best chance to make a deep state tournament run.”
Key Returners
Carson Goetz (GK) – Senior shot-stopper and team leader.
Blake Martin (M) – Midfield engine with creativity and control.
Luke Reyes (F) – Scoring threat up top.
Daniel Ermshler (M) – Brings vision and composure in the middle.
Brandon Pipp (D) – Anchors the back line.
Joel Murphy (M) and Elias Cengeri (M) – Provide depth and stability in the midfield.
With Reyes guiding a balanced roster and a talented senior class setting the tone, Oakland Christian expects to challenge for trophies this fall. The Lancers open the season eager to prove they can turn last year’s near-miss into a breakthrough.
