Hartford Boys Soccer Eyes Another Deep Run in 2025
Hartford, Mich. — After a 20-2-1 season that ended in the state semifinals, Hartford boys soccer enters 2025 with both high expectations and new challenges.
The Indians captured the Southwest 10 Conference title last fall and advanced deep into the Division 3 state tournament behind a senior-heavy roster. Now, with several new faces in the mix and limited depth, head coach Kyle Wright knows his squad will need to quickly adapt to a tougher schedule.
“It is a much harder schedule with some new players coming in, so I expect a solid team with a chance to make a run but without a lot of depth,” Wright said. “Hopefully we can capture another conference title and make a push in the playoffs.”
Returning Standouts
Despite the roster turnover, Hartford returns some of the state’s top talent:
Kameron Kuehnle — First Team All-State
Aiden McDonald — Third Team All-State
Alex Diaz — All-District selection
Kenneth Rios — All-District selection
Jairo Lorenzo-Reyes — All-District selection
Other key contributors include Eduardo Zarco, Aiden Ovalle, and Isaac Morales, who will be expected to step into larger roles this season.
Outlook
With its proven leaders and core of All-State and All-District performers, Hartford remains one of the Southwest Michigan area’s most dangerous programs. The question will be whether the new additions can help the Indians overcome depth concerns as they chase another postseason run.
