McLean to host South Region and face LA Krewe Rush

VIENNA, Va. – Fresh off a District Division championship in the regular season, McLean Soccer figures it might as well hang out for a while in the postseason.

McLean Soccer posted a 3-0 shutout of Port City FC Wednesday to earn the Atlantic Conference title as well at Vienna (Va.) Oakton High School.

More importantly, it advances McLean into the Round of 16 of the Women's Premier Soccer League national tournament.

After a scoreless first half, McLean (7-1-1) finally got its offense untracked with three second-half goals.

Hannah Harms scored the game-winner in the 46th minute and then netted the brace six minutes later with another goal in the 52nd minute.

Courtney Mills finished off a Harms pass in the 84th minute to cap the scoring.

Aislynn Wright gained the shutout in goal, her fourth clean sheet of the 2025 campaign, with strong defensive aid from the back line of Evelyn Casapaban, Lily Houngmany, Sophia Ambrose and Mary Del Vecchio.

McLean Soccer now owns a 25-9 scoring edge this season and will face the LA Krewe Rush on July 12 in the South Region semifinals at the Revolution Sportsplex in Leesburg, Virginia.

The regional finals are the next day on July 13.
