Virginia Holds No. 1 as Notre Dame, Stanford, and Tennessee Stay Close in United Soccer Coaches Women’s Week 7 Poll

The University of Virginia remains the nation’s top team in the latest United Soccer Coaches Women’s Top 25 Poll, holding the No. 1 spot for another week. The Cavaliers (10-0-1) earned eight first-place votes and 200 points, keeping their edge over Notre Dame and Stanford as the regular season nears its final stretch.
Notre Dame stays at No. 2 with a matching 10-0-1 record, while Stanford remains third at 9-1-1. Tennessee climbs one spot to No. 4 after improving to 11-1-1, and Florida State rounds out the top five at No. 5 with an unbeaten 8-0-2 record.

Virginia’s defense continues to be one of the most reliable in the country, conceding just four goals in eleven matches. Notre Dame has matched that consistency, while Stanford, Tennessee, and Florida State remain close behind with only one loss between them.
Further down the rankings, Texas Tech jumps to No. 11 after a strong week in Big 12 play, while Memphis stays unbeaten at No. 8. Michigan State, Ohio State, and Georgia give the Big Ten a strong presence in the poll, each earning results that keep them in postseason contention.
With only a few weeks left before conference tournaments, the top of the national rankings remains tight, with several programs still within reach of the No. 1 spot.
