The road to the 2025 UPSL Fall Season National Finals is officially underway as clubs from every corner of the United States begin their quest for the league’s top prize. With more than 30 regions represented and dozens of clubs entering the Round of 32, the march toward Championship Weekend in Florida (Jan. 30–Feb. 1, 2026) promises drama, upsets, and rising stars ready to break onto the national stage.

WEST REGION: A Gauntlet of Powerhouses and Proven Programs

The West once again looks like one of the deepest sides of the bracket. Perennial contenders from PNW-Washington, PNW-Oregon, NorCal North, NorCal South, and the always-dangerous Southern California divisions begin play on December 20–21.

Southern California—which has historically dominated national UPSL play—fields multiple entries in the bracket. With SoCal programs known for their pace, creativity, and technical quality, the region could easily send another semifinalist to Florida.

Meanwhile, Texas North, Texas South, Texas Central, and West Texas–New Mexico form a rugged central corridor. UPSL Texas sides have produced some of the league’s most physical and high-scoring clashes, and this year’s field looks no different. Whoever survives the December matchups will face the Round of 16 on January 3–4, with the winners advancing to the Western Quarterfinals on January 17–18.

MOUNTAIN & MIDWEST REGIONS: Dark Horses Emerging

The Mountain West and NE–SD–IA divisions enter the bracket with teams known for structured defending and efficient counterattacks. Historically overshadowed by coastal programs, these middle-of-the-country clubs have built momentum over the past few seasons.

With the Mountain West and Midwest winners also entering their Round of 16 matchups on January 3–4, this section of the bracket is ripe for potential postseason surprises.

EAST REGION: Traditional Power Meets New Blood

The East side opens earlier than the West, with several key Round of 32 fixtures already played:

  • Chicago Nation FC advanced past Black Cat FC in an intense regional rivalry matchup.

  • Detroit United earned its way in after a November 15 meeting with FUT Ohio SC.

  • NY Renegades FC and Beech Street FC met on November 16, with one earning the right to push toward the national rounds.

  • Capital City Islanders and Bowleys Athletic Club continued the competitive tradition of the Mid-Atlantic divisions.

These winners shift into Round of 16 battles scheduled for November 22–23, with victors moving to the Eastern

Quarterfinals on December 6–7.

The southern corridor—featuring Virginia, Mid-Atlantic, Georgia, Kentucky–Tennessee, and multiple Florida divisions—enters action December 20–21. Florida, which boasts one of the deepest UPSL player pools in the country, sends three representatives: Florida Central, Florida West, and Florida South. Their Round of 16 matches span from January 3–4 to January 10–11, giving this region a staggered but high-impact path toward the national stage.

THE ROAD TO FLORIDA: NATIONAL FINALS WEEKEND

The eight quarterfinal winners—four from each side of the bracket—will converge for the UPSL National Finals, taking place:

January 30 – February 1, 2026

This year’s title chase features:

  • Elite programs from historic UPSL strongholds (California, Texas, Florida)

  • Rapid risers from emerging regions (Michigan, Tennessee, Arizona, Midwest)
