FLINT, Mich. – A new league could bode well for Flint City AFC this season.
Flint opened up United Women’s Soccer Great Lakes Conference play with a come-from-behind 2-1 victory over newcomer FC Pontiac in the final game of the Vehicle City Classic Saturday night at Flint Kettering University’s historic Atwood Stadium.
Lauren Moylan (Hudsonville High School / Michigan Hawks) tied the game early in the second half, while Kailey Shannon (University of Cincinnati / Michigan Hawks). Moylan and Randi Foor (University of Notre Dame).
Abbey Lobato scored midway through the first half for FC Pontiac, a brand new amateur team that was playing in its first-ever contest.
