THE LEAGUE FOR CLUBS: Iron Rose FC scores two late goals to trip up CF San Rafael

NOVATO, Calif. – Thanks to a pair of late goals, Iron Rose FC was able to win its second game of the season.


Iron Rose picked up goals in the 78th and 80th minutes to claim a 2-1 victory over CF San Rafael in NorCal Conference play at Novato (Calif.) High School.


Marco Garcia booted home the game-winner in the 80th minute to aid the Iron Rose FC comeback.


Two minutes earlier, Ilya Golubeus tied the game in the 78th minute with an unassisted tally.


Christopher De Leon scored in the 31st minute, as CF San Rafael (0-6-2) built a 1-0 lead at the half. The lead stood for nearly 78 minutes.
