THE LEAGUE FOR CLUBS: Iron Rose FC earns third win with 2-1 decision over Afghan Premier

ROSEVILLE, Calif. – Wins were hard to come by for Iron Rose FC in the early stages of the 2025 season.
Things have changed as of late.
Iron Rose captured its second straight win and won its third game in the last five contests Saturday night courtesy of a 2-1 victory over Afghan Premier FC in a The League For Clubs-NorCal Conference game at West Park High School.
Hamad Safi staked Iron Rose to a 1-0 lead at the half thanks to an unassisted goal in the 32nd minute.
Roberto Hategan added what proved to be the game-winner in the 48th minute for a 2-0 lead.
Hasseb Babacarhial pulled one back for Afghan Premier FC with a goal in the 63rd minute, but the guests could not complete the comeback.
Iron Rose improved to 3-4-0 on the season and moved into eighth place in the NorCal Conference. The side has been outscored 20-9 but turning the tables after a slow start.
Afghan Premier dropped to 1-6-0 overall and into 10th place with three points. Afghan has been outscored 24-8 this season.
