WASHINGTON, D.C. (January 20, 2026) — The Washington Spirit will head to central Mexico to close out the 2025–26 Concacaf W Champions Cup, as the confederation announced that Estadio Hidalgo in Pachuca will host the semifinals, third-place match, and final.

After finishing first in Group B during group play last fall, the Spirit will face Group A runner-up CF Pachuca Femenil in the semifinal round on Wednesday, May 20. Washington will then advance to either the third-place match or the championship final on Saturday, May 23, where it will meet either Club América or NWSL rival Gotham FC.

The Spirit entered the knockout stage in dominant form, going undefeated in group play with a 3-0-1 record while conceding zero goals across four matches.

The champion of the 2025–26 Concacaf W Champions Cup will earn qualification for the 2027 FIFA Women’s Champions Cup, which will feature confederation champions from around the world, as well as a spot in the inaugural FIFA Women’s Club World Cup in 2028.

Washington will look to carry that momentum into the domestic season after reaching its second consecutive NWSL Championship match in 2026. The Spirit will open the regular season at home on Friday, March 13, hosting Portland Thorns FC in a rematch of last year’s dramatic home semifinal. Information on 2026 season ticket memberships is available through the club.
