Major League Indoor Soccer Extended (MLISX) officially launches its inaugural season this weekend, marking a new chapter in the growth of indoor soccer with a two-match opening series in Waterloo, Indiana.
Opening Weekend action will feature the Kansas City Barilleros taking on two Fort Wayne-based sides — the Ft. Wayne Sentinels and Fort Wayne 1927 Sport Club — in a unique opening slate designed to introduce fans to the league’s competitive format.
The season begins Saturday night as the Barilleros face the Ft. Wayne Sentinels at 9:00 PM ET. The opening weekend continues Sunday morning with Kansas City matching up against Fort Wayne 1927 Sport Club at 11:00 AM ET. Both matches will be contested at the Classic City Center, serving as the stage for MLISX’s first official games.
The opening weekend not only represents the league’s first on-field action, but also an opportunity to establish early momentum and identity as MLISX looks to expand its footprint within the indoor soccer landscape.
Additional league announcements, including competitive structure and season details, are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Fans can follow MLISX on social media for ongoing updates and coverage throughout the inaugural season as the league begins its journey on the indoor stage.
