GROSSE ILE, Mich. – Alicia Shelton scored in the first minute to set the tone Wednesday.

That early goal helped lift Grosse Ile to a 4-0 shutout of visiting Riverview in Huron League play.

Lila Pascuzzik Alaina Korody and Whitney Lauras also scored for the Grosse Ile (5-0-0, 4-0-0).

Third-ranked Grosse Ile has now pitched five shutouts to open the 2025 season and have outscored the opposition 31-0. With a perfect goals-against-average defensively, the Red Devils have averaged around 6.2 goals a game this season.

The Red Devils finished as the Division 3 state runner-up the last two years.

Riverview slipped to 1-4-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the Huron League.

SALINE 9, TEMPERANCE BEDFORD 0: Saline pushed their season totals to a 58-3 scoring edge and five shutouts and cruised to this lopsided Southeastern Conference-Red Division win over the Kicking Mules. Sadie Walsh and Sienna Snyder both finished with two goals and an assist apiece to pace the Hornets (7-0-0, 2-0-0). Noa Walsh, Britain Soares, Ava Printy, MaKena Means and Laynie Tousa also scored single goals. Kaylee Mizel recorded her team’s fourth straight clean sheet while Lydia Zajchowski anchored the backline that has helped Saline post a 0.43 teams goals-against-average.

ROCKFORD 5, GRAND HAVEN 0: It was nearly 11 months ago when Grand Haven edged Rockford 1-0 in a shootout to end Rockford’s season in a Division 1 district finals match. That loss ended the OKC-Red Division  champions season at 12-1-5 and handed the Rams their only loss of the campaign. When the two met Wednesday in Rockford, the Rams clearly remembered that stunning loss. Rockford put up a five-spot in the OKC-Red contest to improve to 3-1-2 overall and 1-0-0 in the conference. It marked the first loss of the season for Grand Haven (2-1-1, 0-1-1).

UTICA EISENHOWER 2, UTICA FORD 0: Eisenhower remained perfect on the season with this shutout in Macomb Area Conference-Red Division play. Ellera Jakubowski scored an unassisted goal and Julia Aniel added the second goal off an assist by Gabby Reggio for the Eagles (6-0-0, 2-0-0). Eisenhower picked up its third shutout and have outscored the opposition 30-6 this season.

STEVENSVILLE LAKESHORE 2, PORTAGE CENTRAL 0: Lakeshore handed Portage Central its first loss of the season and first Southwestern Michigan Athletic Conference loss in two seasons Wednesday with this shutout victory. Emily Lockman converted a Preslee Perkins in the eighth minute and Caroline Nyce sent one home off a feed from Abby Hoss for the Lancers (5-0-2, 2-0-1), who own a 21-4 scoring edge this season. Lakeshore recorded its fourth shutout of the season and third straight with Sophie delaForet notching 16 saves for the Lancers. Abby Areuax recorded nine saves for Portage Central (5-1-0, 2-1-0), which conceded goals for the first time this season. The Mustangs still own a 20-2 scoring edge.

HOLLY 1, LINDEN 0: Unbeaten Holly, ranked 14th in Division 2, recorded its sixth straight win to open the season with this shutout of Linden in Flint Metro League play. It marks the school’s first win over Linden in over 15 years. Abbie Hill scored for the Bronchos (6-0-0, 4-0-0) and Grace Kubiak made eight saves for the Bronchos, who own a 14-3 scoring edge this season with three shutouts. Linden slips to 1-3-1 overall and 1-2-1 in the FML.

GRAND RAPIDS FOREST HILLS NORTHERN 2, EAST GRAND RAPIDS 2: These two Ottawa Kent Conference-White Division foes settled little on the soccer pitch this time around. Northern (2-1-4, 2-1-1) has now outscored its opposition 24-8 this season. East Grand Rapids (2-1-3, 0-0-3) has an 11-5 scoring edge this spring.
