INDEPENDENCE, Mo. — The St. Louis Ambush didn’t just open their postseason on Monday night; they made a statement. Behind a historic seven-point performance from Will Eskay, the Ambush stormed into Cable Dahmer Arena and dismantled the Kansas City Comets 9-4 in Game 1 of their MASL Quarterfinal series.
Eskay was the undisputed engine of the St. Louis attack, recording four goals and three assists to silence the Kansas City faithful and put the Comets on the brink of elimination.
Early Momentum and the Eskay Takeover
The match began with high energy as Mario Falsone put St. Louis on the board just two minutes in. Although Kansas City’s Christian Anderaos leveled the score later in the first quarter, the Ambush took control in the second period.
