Livonia Stevenson Looks to Build on 2024 Success
LIVONIA – The Livonia Stevenson Spartans enter the 2025 season with confidence and experience, ready to contend once again in the KLAA East. Last year, the Spartans finished second in the division with a 10-4-4 record and pushed rival Novi to penalty kicks in a heartbreaking district defeat.
Head coach and his staff return a strong core of starters from a squad that was considered young in 2024, giving Stevenson reason to believe they can take another step forward this fall.
Leading the midfield will be Will Brukoff, Drew Erickson, and Brody Shingledecker, a trio who provide balance and creativity in the middle of the park. In attack, Dominic Allevato, Niko Zhuli, and Evan Harris give the Spartans multiple options up front, while Ian Hetherington and Reece Williams anchor the back line. Between the posts, Luca Allevato returns as the starting goalkeeper, bringing stability to the defense.
“We return a bunch of starters. We were young last year,” the coaching staff said. “This season, that experience should pay off.”
With proven leadership and a more seasoned roster, the Spartans are set to be a dangerous contender in the KLAA East and beyond.
