RICHMOND, Va. — The 2026 Jefferson Cup Boys College Showcase concluded this past weekend (March 27–29), solidifying its reputation as one of the premier youth soccer events in the United States. Featuring 480 high-level teams across the U15–U19 age groups, the showcase served as a vital mid-season litmus test for clubs preparing for the summer playoff push.
For many teams, the tournament offered a rare opportunity to face off against different regional tactics. "The style that we see in North Carolina is very different from teams in D.C. or Boston," noted Charlotte SA Academy ECNL 2010 Head Coach Stephen Gummer. "It gives a real good experience in playing different environments."
U15 Showcase Championship: Richmond United Dominates at Home
Richmond United ECNL 11 emerged as the class of the U15 division, finishing with a perfect 3-0-0 record and 30 points. Their performance was a masterclass in balance: they netted 10 goals while maintaining a flawless defensive record, conceding zero goals across three matches.
Top Finishers:
Richmond United ECNL 11 (3-0-0)

U16 Championship: International Success for Ottawa TFC
The U16 flight saw a historic milestone as Ottawa TFC 2010 OPDL secured their first-ever Jefferson Cup title. They punctuated their weekend with an emphatic 5-1 win over the Boston Bolts on Sunday.
Charlotte SA Academy (CSA) ECNL 2010 took second place following a tactical 3-0 victory over Potomac Soccer. CSA utilized a high-press system in the first half to take a 2-0 lead before shifting to a "three-box-three" formation to soak up pressure and strike on the counter-attack in the second half.
U17 Championship: SUSA FC Grinds to Victory
In the U17 Championship Division, SUSA FC B09 ECNL Academy proved their elite status by winning all three matches. After opening the weekend with two shutouts, they held off a surging Boston Bolts attack on Sunday to win 2-1.
The attacking duo of Ryan Curcio and Tony Garcia provided the early spark, with each player recording a goal and an assist. Defensively, center-back Evan Masters anchored a unit that allowed only one goal all weekend, the lowest in the division.
U19 Championship: NC Fusion Wins Goal-Scoring Race
In the oldest bracket, NC Fusion ECNL 2007/2008 took the top spot in a tiebreaker over Columbus United. Both teams finished with perfect 3-0-0 records, but Fusion’s explosive 9-0 victory over the Boston Bolts on Saturday helped them secure the title.
Columbus United 07/08 NAL earned a well-deserved second place, leading the division with 13 goals across three games, including five-goal outbursts against both Maryland United and Baltimore Celtic.
