BERKLEY, Mich. (Aug. 24, 2025) — Berkley enters 2025 with a veteran spine and a sizable sophomore cohort after a 17-5-2 season that ended in a district final loss to Troy. The Bears finished 3-3-1 in the OAA Red to place fourth and will look to climb the table behind experienced leadership in goal and midfield.
“We have a young team — likely starting five sophomores — but we expect to be very competitive this fall,” the coaching Wloszek said.
Key Returners
Ben Sanborn, Sr., M
Nathan Calio, Sr., GK
Owen Danaher, Sr., M
Brody Cain, Sr., M
Outlook
Berkley’s senior midfield trio gives the Bears a platform to control tempo while Calio stabilizes a back line that may feature underclassmen. Early integration of the sophomore group and improved consistency in league play are the primary markers if Berkley is to convert last year’s near-miss into hardware.
By the Numbers (2024)
Overall: 17-5-2
OAA Red: 3-3-1 (4th)
Postseason: Lost to Troy in the district final
