AMBUSH SIGN FORWARD MARIO FALSONE AHEAD OF 2025–26 SEASON
St. Charles, Missouri (November 25, 2025) – The St. Louis Ambush have bolstered their attack ahead of opening weekend, announcing the signing of forward Mario Falsone for the 2025–26 MASL season.
A native of Edinburgh, Scotland, Falsone came to the United States in 2016 to play collegiate soccer at the University of Illinois Springfield. Before joining the Ambush, he featured for Springfield FC (UPSL and USL League Two), where he earned top scorer honors and helped the club capture the 2021 USASA Region II championship. He also ranked inside the UPSL national top 10 for goals during the 2023 and 2024 campaigns.
During his four-year career at UIS (2016–19), Falsone played a major role in leading the Prairie Stars to a 33-31-6 record with three GLVC Tournament appearances. He earned all-GLVC and all-region recognition twice. In 70 career matches (66 starts), Falsone became the program’s NCAA-era career leader in goals (19), assists (12), points (50), and game-winning goals (5), while also collecting multiple player-of-the-week awards.
Before college, Falsone played at Royal High School in Edinburgh and developed through local youth clubs after discovering his passion for the sport at age three. Off the field, he runs a soccer training academy in Springfield, Illinois, and owns Casa Di Lusso, a women’s luxury Italian boutique located in St. Louis’ historic Hill neighborhood.
Ambush co-owner and head coach Jeff Locker praised the signing, saying:“Mario has the skills and physicality to be a tremendous forward. He has shown success at every level he has played, and we look forward to his transition to the indoor game.”
Falsone expressed his excitement to join the club:“I’m delighted to sign with the St. Louis Ambush. It’s an honor to represent a city with such a rich soccer history, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to play in front of the passionate Ambush fans. Giving everything for this team and for the badge will be at the heart of how I approach each day.”
St. Louis opens its 13th season on Black Friday, November 28, hosting the rival Kansas City Comets at The Family Arena. The series continues the following night, November 29, at Cable Dahmer Arena in Independence, Missouri.
Season, group, and single-game tickets for the 2025–26 campaign are available now. For more information, contact the Ambush office at 636-477-6363. Fans can follow the latest updates at stlambush.com and on all official social media platforms.
