Allos Scores Twice as Oakland Rallies Past Green Bay for 2-1 Victory

GREEN BAY, Wis. — Oakland University men’s soccer rallied in dramatic fashion on Saturday night, scoring twice in the final 10 minutes to defeat Green Bay, 2-1, at Aldo Santaga Stadium.

Sophomore forward Tim Allos delivered both goals for the Golden Grizzlies, including the 85th-minute game-winner, marking his first career multi-goal match and second career game-winning strike.


First Half: Green Bay Strikes First

Oakland started with intensity, as goalkeeper Cole Thompson made an early stop on Keegan Walker in the 11th minute. Despite maintaining defensive structure, the Grizzlies fell behind in the 28th when Walker converted for the Phoenix to make it 1-0.Oakland pushed for an equalizer through the half, generating several chances — including a shot from Gabriel Baylon that forced a save and two near-misses from Andriy Bilous — but went into halftime trailing.


Second Half: Allos Takes Over

The Golden Grizzlies flipped the momentum after the break, controlling possession and testing the Phoenix backline. Their persistence paid off in the 80th minute when Allos cleaned up a loose rebound to level the match, 1-1.Just five minutes later, Allos struck again — this time with a slick back-heel finish off a cross from Julian Kanzler — to give Oakland the lead and the eventual win.


Final Stats & Impact

Oakland outshot Green Bay 8-6 in the second half, landing six shots on frame compared to just two from the Phoenix. Thompson anchored the defense with four saves.Allos now leads the team with four goals on the season, while Kanzler recorded the assist on the game-winner. Baylon added two shots as Oakland’s offense surged late.
