MILWAUKEE, Wisc. – When you have a well-respected program the talent will most definitely come.
And for FC Milwaukee Torrent, the talent has arrived in droves.
Glancing at the 31 players on the roster for 2025, there are 26 NCAA Division I players, four players that play at lower levels of college soccer and one high school senior-to-be that has committed to a NCAA Division I program.
The blend in talent has helped FC Milwaukee Torrent post an unbeaten season this summer.
The WPSL eighth-ranked Torrent finished the regular season with an 8-0-2 record, good enough for 24 points and the Central North Lakes Conference championship. Milwaukee has outscored the opposition 32-6 for a plus-26 scoring differential.
The side has also averaged 3.20 goals-per-game while holding opponents to less than a goal a game with their stellar 0.60 goals-against-average.
The Torrent have talented players all over the pitch and exceptional depth that few can compare.
Under the framework, Kate Hopma (Drake University), Brooke Nelson (University of Wisconsin) and Elise Krone (Marquette University) have not allowed a single team score more than one goal on the Torrent in a game this season to go along with four shutouts in 10 games.
Defensively, Abby Hall (Illinois State University), Sophie Ackerman (Loyola University-Chicago)
Lillie Tabor (Belmont University), Greta Hanson (Truman State University), Izzy Arnold (College of Charleston), Abigayle Hall (Illinois State), Anna Champine (University of Milwaukee) and Kayden Serima (Milwaukee) have all spent time along the back line this season.
Offensively, Maya Wilson (Milwaukee) and Ashlynn Skinner-Barrett (Milwaukee) have scored four goals apiece to lead the team, as the Torrent have truly spread the wealth around. Tatum Anderson (Metropolitan Community College), Addison Staniciak (St. Louis University), Layla Keibel (University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse), Lauren Hernandez (Iowa State University) have scored three goals each.
Hailkey Christianson (MArquette), Cate Downs (MArquette), Lainey Higgins (Milwaukee), Sophie Balistreri (University of Northern Iowa) have chipped in with two goals apiece, while Camryn Ries (University of Illinois-Chicago), Adrianna Alberts (Marquette), Abigayle Hall (Illinois State), and Sydney Dulak (St. Louis) have also sent one up onto the scoreboard.
Sydney Bollis (Wisconsin-Green Bay), Sarah Stadlert (Iowa State), Delaney Cox (Wisconsin), Ella Luna (Creighton University), Margaret Sisk (Wisconsin commit, senior-to-be at Waukesha Catholic Memorial High School), Jordan Kardelis (St. Cloud State University), Taylor Schad (Wisconsin), Lola Wojcik (Milwaukee), Liesel Odden (Syracuse University) and Adrianna Alberts (Marquette) are also on the roster and most have contributed in other ways.
In their last five games, the Milwaukee Torrent are 4-0-1 and have outscored the opposition 20-3 with two shutouts. Talk about heading into the postseason with consistency.
The Torrent will host St. Croix at 9:30 p.m. ET on July 2 at the Ulhlein Soccer Park in Milwaukee for the WPSL first round regional game.
