NIAGARA, N.Y. – One week after storming back from a 3-0 halftime deficit to win the Mid-Atlantic Conference championship, the Pennsylvania Classics figured they would stick around a little longer in the Women’s Premier Soccer League national tournament.

Elizabeth Estrada and her teammates have willed it.

Pennsylvania Classics opened up WPSL-East Region play Saturday night at NCAA Division I Niagara University and it was Estrada in particular who helped her team advance to the regional finals.

Estrada, the NCAA Division I LaSalle University forward, tied the game midway through the second half, while she added goals in the 112th and 115th minutes of overtime in helping her team posted a 3-2 victory over Brooklyn City FC in the WPSL-East Region semifinals Saturday at Niagara University.

Estrada earned the hat trick and has scored five goals in the past two games for PA MClassics (7-1-4)

PA Classics will face unbeaten and 13th-ranked Sporting CT in the East Region finals July 13 at 1 p.m. also at Niagara University.

After Kayleigh Goodrich gave Brooklyn City a 1-0 lead in the 18th minute with an unassisted goal, Estrada tied it up with a tally of her own in the 27th minute.

The stalemate remained through 90-plus minutes of regulation, setting the stage for two 15-minute overtime periods.

Estrada put her team in the lead for a first time at 2-1 in the 112th minute only to see Brooklyn City FC tie it at 2-2 in the 114th minute on another goal by Goodrich.

That set the stage for Estrada once again, as the clutch performer sent in her third goal of the game one minute later in the 115th minute which proved to be the game-winner in a wild finish and series of goals in the second overtime session.

PA Classics move to 7-1-4 with a 39-16 scoring edge this season. One week prior, the side fought back from a 3-0 first-half deficit with a barrage of goals after the 57th minute to advance to the Round of 16.

PA Classics won’t have much time to celebrate, as the side advances to face 13th-ranked Sporting CT in the East Regional finals on July 13. Sporting CT advances with a 9-0 shutout of regional host Niagara 1812.
