CHATTANOOGA, Tn --- Chattanooga FC today made a pair of major announcements to their women’s coaching ticket and men’s roster.
After announcing that Juan Hernandez would be stepping down this morning, the club followed up with the news that Majo Harispuru would be taking the reins as the new head coach of Chattanooga FC Women.
Harispuru, who was the side’s Assistant Coach last season, holds a USSF B National License. She has previous coaching experience within the Barça Academy México, LAFC, and the nearby Red Wolves.

"Majo played an integral role in the success of our 2025 season, and her influence extended well beyond her title”, the club quotes Sporting Director Sebastian Giraldo as saying. “She built strong relationships with our athletes, drove daily standards and consistently modeled the professionalism we expect within our environment. Majo also brings the unique perspective of elite performance with her experience playing on Mexico youth national teams."
Joining Haispuru on the bench will be Micah Warner and Emanuele Cocuzza, Assistant Coaches; JD Myers, Assistant Coach/Goalkeeping Coach; Maryn Beutler, individual Development Coach; and Ashley Renko, Team Operations Manager.
Club legend Hernandez, meanwhile, will remain with the club as the Senior Girls Program Director. In 2025, he and Beutler, as Associate Head Coach, led the club to its most successful season to date, becoming WPSL South Region champions and reaching the national semi-finals.
Chattanooga will return to WPSL action this summer, playing in the Southeast Conference.
On the men’s side, the club also announced the signing of American center forward Alex Krehl. The 23-year-old is something of an unknown quantity this side of the Atlantic, having spent most of career in Spain where he was a product of Getafe’s academy. He was with Guadalajara in 2024-25 when they won the Segunda Federación-Grupo V notching one goal in 17 appearances, mainly as a substitute.
Last July he signed for CD Lealtad of the Segunda Federación-Grupo I (Spain’s Fourth Tier) and scored four goals in 18 appearances, playing 1,228 minutes. On 2 February the club announced he was leaving. He made his final appearance for Lealtad on 25 January at home to Real Ávila and scored his last goal in club colors on 11 January against Sarriana. Stateside, Krehl played for DeKalb County United in the Midwest Premier League last summer, scoring six goals.
His signing comes after the club confirmed that striker Yuval Cohen had undergone successful surgery to his left elbow after suffering an injury in a preseason match against One Knoxville. Cohen will now begin his rehabilitation program and it is currently unclear how long he will be out.
Fans at Finley will be hoping Krehl can fill a gaping hole in the forward-line. CFC’s other attacking players mainly play wide or deep, so the signing of the Illinois native is timely and offers interim Head Coach Richard Dixon an additional option spearheading his attack. If Krehl can score in Spain’s fourth tier, you would expect him to be a fine addition to any third tier roster in the US.
Krehl will wear the number 23 jersey.
CFC’s MLS Next Pro side kicks off their season this Sunday with the visit of Crown Legacy FC (Kick off 3pm Eastern).
