UWS:Flint City AFC Re-Signs Midfielder Elle Phillips for Upcoming UWS Season

Flint, Mich. — Flint City AFC has re-signed Grand Blanc native Elle Phillips for the upcoming United Women’s Soccer (UWS) season, pending league and federation approval.
Phillips returns for her third season with the club. She was part of Flint City’s debut UWS campaign last summer and also competed during the team’s most recent USL W League season in 2024.
A standout both on and off the field, Phillips is set to join Northwestern University following her graduation this spring.
She has spent more than a decade playing high-level club soccer with Michigan Hawks, where she has served as a team captain. In 2024, Phillips was one of just four players from Michigan selected to represent Team Midwest at the Elite Clubs National League (ECNL) Conference Cup in Chula Vista, California.
Phillips captured the U-15 ECNL National Championship in 2023 and has since earned back-to-back First Team All-Midwest Conference honors.
PrepSoccer.com previously evaluated Phillips as a composed, two-way midfielder who thrives in tight spaces, connects effectively with teammates, and times her attacking runs well.
“Phillips is consistent on both sides of the ball and shows she is brave in the right moments to be a threat in the attacking half herself,” a PrepSoccer.com scout wrote.
