TAMPA, Fla. – Tampa Bay Sun FC announced recently the club had signed defender Jordan Zade for the remainder of the 2024-25 USL Super League season. The transaction is pending league and federation approval.
Zade is joining the Sun after playing four seasons with the University of Nebraska, making 74 appearances and tallying over 5,000 minutes of action. She recorded 21 goal contributions for Nebraska including a career-high nine assists during her junior year. She was named to the All-Big Ten Second Team in 2023, United Coaches All-Region Third Team in 2023 and Big Ten Preseason Player to Watch in 2024.
She spent four years in a Nebraska uniform.
Zade attended De Soto (Kan.) High School where she had accomplished career before graduating in 2021. Her 2020 campaign was cancelled due to Covid restrictions, but she collected over 30 goals and 30 assists during her high school career.
She also played youth club soccer for KC Fusion Academy. Zade was a four-time team captain in youth soccer and the club was NPL Central States champions in 2019-20.
