FLINT, Mich. – The Flint City Bucks of the USL League Two announced Tuesday the re-signing of defender Schinieder Mimy for the 2025 season and pending league and federation approval, should join the roster in April.
This will be the third summer that Mimy played for the Bucks, who are coming off back-to-back Great Lakes Division championships and reached the North American final eight last year as the Central Conference runners-up in 2024. In 2023, the Bucks reached the North American Final Four.
“We love Mimy, he embodies what it means to be a Flint City (Bucks player),” said Flint City head coach Paul Doroh.
Mimy is coming off a strong senior campaign for NCAA Division I Oral Roberts University. He was one of four defenders last fall to be named to the 11-member All-Summit League First Team for the Golden Eagles. The 5-foot-9 defender comes for North Miami, Fla., and attended Miami Central Senior High School before originally enrolling into Daytona State University before transferring over to Oral Roberts.
The Flint City Bucks are one of the most successful USL League Two franchises in league history, coupled with its seasons in different locations and when the league was called USL-Premier Developmental League. The Bucks have reached the postseason in 13 of the last 15 years (missing in 2018 and in 2020 when the league season was cancelled due to Covid restrictions). The franchise has also missed the postseason just four times dating back to its debut campaign in 1996 and has six appearances in the North American finals with four total championships.
