DALLAS (Feb. 28, 2026) — Dallas Trinity FC scored in the second half and held the Houston Dash scoreless in a 1-0 preseason victory Saturday at the Cotton Bowl.
Houston, playing without seven players due to the upcoming March FIFA international window, was shut out for the first time this year.
Dallas broke the scoreless tie in the 64th minute when forward Caroline Kelly finished a right-footed shot at the near post for the match’s lone goal.
Goalkeeper Jane Campbell kept Houston level early. She stopped a long-range effort from Jenny Danielsson in the 18th minute and made three saves in a 10-second stretch in the 31st minute.
Houston’s best first-half opportunity came in the 30th minute when Kate Faasse dribbled into space and found Makenzy Robbe, but the chance was cleared by the Dallas back line.
In the 42nd minute, Yazmeen Ryan delivered a cross into the box to Faasse, whose header sailed over the crossbar. Ryan added a shot from the top of the box in the 63rd minute, but her attempt went wide.
Houston concludes preseason play March 7 in a closed-door match against the University of Texas at Houston Sports Park. The Dash open the regular season March 14 at San Diego Wave FC before hosting Boston Legacy FC in their home opener March 21.
