The Midwest Premier League (MWPL) is thrilled to welcome Linoma FC as the newest member club ahead of the 2025 season.

Based in Omaha, Nebraska, Linoma FC brings a rich history and a community-driven approach to the league. Founded in 1986, the club has decades of history competing in Nebraska’s state leagues and fostering local soccer talent.

Jordan Bartels, Chairman of Linoma FC, expressed the club’s enthusiasm for this new chapter.

“We are looking forward to joining MWPL in 2025 and the coming years. We are a community-first organization, and it is our desire and commitment to give back to our home, Omaha in any way we can,” noted Bartels. “Secondly, we want to develop local athletes, at all levels, both on and off the pitch. We believe this partnership with MWPL will allow us to do this with greater impact moving forward. ‘Up The Lighthouse.’”

Frank Dunn, one of the founding members of Linoma FC, reflected on the club’s longstanding presence in Nebraska’s soccer community

“Founded in 1986, Linoma FC is excited about the opportunities that await in joining MWPL. Omaha has a strong sense of community, and MWPL offers the continuing success for the growth of all soccer enthusiasts,” added Dunn.

Linoma FC Vice Chairman Harry Wray highlighted the club’s connections within the local soccer scene.

“Along with the Open Division and Over 30 Division teams, from the Nebraska Men’s Soccer League, we are proud to announce we will be joining the Midwest Premier League,” added Wray.

With its deep roots in Omaha and a mission centered on community impact and player development, Linoma FC’s entry into the MWPL promises to enrich the league’s competition and bolster the growing soccer culture in the region.

“Adding a third MWPL club in the Omaha-Council Bluffs area is an exciting development for our upcoming season,” said MWPL President Steve Beckman. “Linoma FC adds another opportunity for those local players and should inspire some healthy competition between them and our other expansion clubs, AFC Omaha and CB Captains FC.”
