ATLANTA — The New England Revolution (4-3-0, 12 pts) enter Mercedes-Benz Stadium on Wednesday night with a head of steam, seeking a fourth consecutive MLS victory and their first road points of the 2026 campaign. Standing in their way is an Atlanta United FC (1-6-1, 4 pts) side desperate to snap a three-match losing skid under manager Tata Martino.

The 7:45 p.m. ET kickoff features two teams on opposite trajectories: New England is surging toward the top of the Eastern Conference, while Atlanta sits in 14th place, searching for identity.

Revolution Momentum: Milestones and Goal Scoring

New England heads South following a perfect three-game homestand, capped by a 2-1 comeback win over the Columbus Crew. That match saw captain Carles Gil make his 200th MLS regular-season appearance, celebrating with his 50th league goal. Gil is now just the second player in Revolution history to reach the "50/50" club (50 goals and 50 assists).

The Revs' attack has been remarkably balanced, featuring a league-high 10 different goal scorers this season. Key offensive threats include:

  • Dor Turgeman: The Israeli striker has eight goal contributions in his first 10 games, averaging nearly one goal involvement per 90 minutes.

  • Luca Langoni: With six assists, Langoni sits just one off the MLS lead and has found the scoresheet in four of the last five matches.

  • Matt Turner: The U.S. international goalkeeper recently logged his 50th MLS victory, joining Matt Reis as the only Revolution keepers to reach that mark.

The Opponent: Atlanta’s Defensive Struggles

Atlanta United returns home after a 2-0 loss to Nashville SC. Despite the tactical leadership of Tata Martino, the "Five Stripes" have struggled to find the back of the net, scoring just six times in eight matches.

The bulk of Atlanta's offensive production has come from Alexey Miranchuk, who has scored four of the team's six goals. Designated Players Emmanuel Latte Lath and Miguel Almirón have each chipped in three goal contributions, but the team has yet to find consistent rhythm.

Historical Edge: New England Dominance

History favors the visitors in this matchup. New England is 7-1-2 in their last 10 meetings with Atlanta dating back to 2021. Last season, the Revolution swept the series with two shutouts, including a 2-0 win in September that featured a breakout performance from Dor Turgeman.
