Final MIHSSCA Boys Soccer Rankings: Unbeatens Stand Tall as Playoffs Arrive


(Shelby Twp., MI) – The Michigan High School Soccer Coaches Association released its final boys soccer rankings of the 2025 regular season, and the state’s elite programs head into postseason play with plenty of momentum—and in several cases, with undefeated records still intact.


Across all four divisions, established powers finished strong while a handful of surprise contenders surged late to earn their spot among Michigan’s best.

No one could catch Portage Central (18-0-2), which closed out the regular season unbeaten to secure the No. 1 ranking from wire-to-wire.Ann Arbor Huron (12-1-2) holds steady at No. 2, matching Portage’s defensive consistency, while Grand Haven (14-1-2) and Romeo (12-1-5) finish just behind after strong conference runs.

Clarkston (14-2-1) and Okemos (14-2-1) remain fixtures in the Top 6, while Hartland (17-2-1) and Livonia Stevenson (16-1-1) headline a deep group rounding out the Top 10.

Saginaw Heritage (19-2-0) climbs into Honorable Mention and could be the most dangerous unseeded team entering the postseason.

In Division 2, it’s a two-team story of perfection.Forest Hills Central (16-0-4) finishes the season unbeaten at No. 1, followed closely by Hudsonville Unity Christian (13-0-4), which also didn’t suffer a regulation loss all fall.

New Boston Huron (15-1-5) rides a late surge into the No. 3 slot, while Warren De La Salle (14-4-2) and Bloomfield Hills Cranbrook Kingswood (10-2-0) round out the Top 5.

Programs such as Fruitport, St. Joseph, and Grand Rapids South Christian continue to climb, giving Division 2 one of the deepest postseason fields in recent memory.East Grand Rapids, Holland, and Lansing Eastern each earned final Honorable Mention recognition.

The late-season race for No. 1 in Division 3 flipped in the final week as Pontiac Notre Dame Prep (12-1-5) edged out defending top-ranked Detroit Country Day (15-2-1) for the crown.

Flint Powers Catholic (12-6-2) and Ann Arbor Greenhills (8-3-1) remain firmly in the Top 4, while Elk Rapids (14-2-3) and Grosse Ile (10-5-1) finish close behind.

Further down, Fremont (17-0-2) completes its own unbeaten regular season and lands at No. 14, one of the few teams statewide without a loss.Brooklyn Columbia Central and Freeland headline the Honorable Mentions as legitimate district threats.

After chasing Liggett and Shrine much of the season, Grandville Calvin Christian (15-3-2) claimed the No. 1 ranking in the final Division 4 poll, capping an impressive turnaround run through late September.

Western Michigan Christian (11-4-4) and North Muskegon (11-1-4) complete the Top 3, while Lansing Christian (16-3-0) and Harbor Springs (13-8-0) round out the Top 5.

Perennial power University Liggett (12-2-0) drops slightly to sixth but remains a state-title contender, and Royal Oak Shrine Catholic (17-2-0) stays among the division’s elite.

Clinton (17-1-1) and Hillsdale Academy appear in Honorable Mention as small-school programs capable of deep playoff runs.
