Men’s Top 25: Indiana climbs to No. 1; Portland rockets 15 spots as four newcomers enter
Indiana took over the top spot in this week’s men’s poll, edging Clemson after a 5-0-1 start. The week’s biggest leap came from Portland, which jumped 15 places to crack the top 10, while last week’s No. 1 Stanford slid to No. 8 and Marshall fell to No. 10. Four teams—Bryant, San Francisco, Cornell and San Diego—joined the rankings; Louisville, North Carolina and UC Irvine returned from the receiving-votes category.
Big movers: Portland +15 (24→9); Akron +8 (11→3); Gardner-Webb +6 (13→7).Downward shifts: West Virginia −9 (6→15); Marshall −8 (2→10); Saint Louis −8 (16→24); Stanford −7 (1→8).
