Grosse Pointe North Names Nino Maniaci as New Varsity Boys’ Soccer Coach

GROSSE POINTE, Mich. — Grosse Pointe North High School has hired Nino Maniaci as its new varsity boys’ soccer coach, bringing in a leader with a strong record of competitive success and player development.
Maniaci previously served as the varsity boys’ soccer coach at Bishop Foley High School from 2017 to 2023, guiding the Ventures to a run that included:
Three district championships
One regional championship
A berth in the 2023 MHSAA Division 4 state final
He was named the 2023 MHSAA Division 4 Coach of the Year and the 2023 MIHSCCA Coach of the Year for his accomplishments that season.
Maniaci also coached at multiple levels at his alma mater, Lakeview High School, and has been a key contributor within Eastside Soccer FC, helping develop players and contribute to championship-level teams.
Maniaci said he is eager to get started at North.
“I am so incredibly excited to take over the boys soccer program at Grosse Pointe North,” he said. “The level of talent they have in the program is high, both with current players and incoming classes. I’m looking to maximize the talent pool and compete at a high level. Excited to get started.”
Grosse Pointe North officials said they look forward to the direction Maniaci will bring to the program as he leads the Norsemen into a new era.
