Green Bay Narrowly Edges Oakland as 2025 #HLMSOC Favorite


INDIANAPOLIS – Green Bay has been tabbed as the preseason favorite to win the 2025 Horizon League men’s soccer title, according to the annual coaches’ poll released Tuesday.

The Phoenix received four first-place votes and 87 points to finish just ahead of Oakland, which collected three first-place nods and 86 points. Robert Morris earned one first-place vote and totaled 78 points to land third, while Cleveland State was fourth with 59. Purdue Fort Wayne (57) and Milwaukee (55) rounded out the top six.

Wright State claimed a first-place tally as well, finishing seventh with 38 points. IU Indianapolis (33), Detroit Mercy (32), and Northern Kentucky (25) completed the poll.
