GLIAC Men’s Soccer Preseason Poll: SVSU Tops 2025 Coaches’ Vote

Reigning GLIAC Tournament champion Saginaw Valley State earned the top spot with 36 points and six first-place votes. The Cardinals hosted four rounds of the NCAA Division II Tournament last season en route to the quarterfinals and return standouts GK Nick Kay and MF Ryan Bovee.

Just five points back at No. 2 is Roosevelt, which collected 31 points and one first-place vote after sharing last year’s regular-season title. The Lakers are led by First Team All-GLIAC forward Oskar Schuster, who scored eight goals in 2024.

Parkside checked in at No. 3 with 20 points, followed closely by Davenport at No. 4 with 19. Purdue Northwest (17) edged St. Cloud State (16) for fifth and sixth, while Northern Michigan rounded out the poll in seventh with 8.
