Drama and Determination Define Third Day of NISA Pro Cup
WASHINGTON TOWNSHIP, MI (October 17, 2025) — The third day of the 2025 NISA Pro Cup delivered the intensity fans had been craving. With four matches on the slate and semifinal spots on the line, every moment counted — and every goal mattered.
Each of the final three matches of the day was decided by just one goal, underscoring the razor-thin margins between celebration and heartbreak.
Capo FC Rolls Into Semifinals With Statement Win
Capo FC 6, Modesto City FC 0
Early morning games had been slow to ignite all tournament long, but once Capo FC struck first, the floodgates opened. Daniel Segal stole the spotlight with two goals — including a clinical free kick — marking his first tallies of the tournament. Jonathan Estrada added another from open play, his third of the event, as Capo FC (2-1-0) clinched the No. 2 seed heading into the semifinals.
For Modesto City FC (0-0-3), it was a passionate but painful conclusion. The side allowed 22 goals across three matches, bowing out after a difficult campaign.
Ten-Man Los Angeles Wolves Hold On
Los Angeles Wolves 1, DC Hyper 0
The defending NISA champions faced adversity early when Josue Cartegena was sent off in the first half. But moments later, Joel Quist delivered a spectacular acrobatic finish to give Los Angeles Wolves (3-0-0) the lead.
Goalkeeper Mark Gamez stood tall in the second half, making two crucial saves as the Wolves secured the No. 1 seed. DC Hyper (1-0-2) pressed hard after a strong second half, but their chances went unfinished, ending their run.
Peak XI FC Finds a Way Through
Peak XI FC 2, Arkansas Wolves SC 1
Peak XI FC embraced the underdog role and bit back with conviction. Towering center back Sacko Konate opened the scoring before Ethan Loomis buried the match winner, pushing Peak XI FC (1-1-1) into the semifinals.
Arkansas Wolves SC (1-0-2) pulled one back via an own goal but struggled to generate consistent offense, averaging under two goals per game as their tournament came to an end.
NOCO Hailstorm Secures Final Semifinal Spot
NOCO Hailstorm 1, Sin City FC 0
With the last semifinal berth up for grabs, it was veteran Travis Ward who delivered. The former Stumptown AC, Chattanooga FC and Maryland Bobcats FC standout smashed home a rebound in the 71st minute to lift NOCO Hailstorm (2-0-1) into the knockout rounds.
Sin City FC (1-1-1) entered the match leading the tournament in goals after a 12-goal explosion on Matchday 2. But when it mattered most, they couldn’t find the net — and their run came to a sudden end.
Semifinals Ahead
The stage is now set for four clubs to battle for a spot in the final. Capo FC, Los Angeles Wolves, Peak XI FC, and NOCO Hailstorm will meet in a pair of mouthwatering semifinals that promise even more intensity.
The magic of the NISA Pro Cup continues — and only two will survive to fight for the trophy.
